Happy New Year!

To all my near and dear, and my far and away: may 2014 bless you, stretch you, change you for the good, and fill your hearts with memorable moments!

  1. I’m soooo glad you landed. I used to fly from Vancouver to Yukon and think about that lake at the end of the runway at Watson Lake. Or the very short runway at Terrace if we were diverted. There was a mountain at the end of that one. Yes, we used to clap, too. And cheer like ninnies! It was so good to get home – even though there was still a two hour ride before I’d be home.

Lost luggage is certainly secondary except for the fact it often held half a year’s provision of personal goodies.

Now, it’s still no easy feat getting home. If the ferries are still running, I run the risk of them being full. Stress, pressure, gulps. I’ve really adopted a “What will be, will be” mentality and miracles often happen.

All the best to you in 2014.

    • And a happy new year to you too!
I know what you mean about bringing goodies home! I never travel that I don’t have a list of things I’m looking for, everything from specialty foods to clothing to makeup…I have a running list! At least the basics and more are available in Ketchikan! ~ Sheila

    • Thank you Dianna! I had a chance to do some catch up reading today, but I don’t know that I actually wished you a happy new year! But if not, then here’s to 2014! Looking forward to some wonderful photos from you and lots of great travel adventures! ~ Sheila
