Grace and Life 
I love the first blooms of spring, so full of hopeful expectation! Just little green tips of my tulips and daffodils are barely breaking the soil’s surface. This garden talk reminds me of The Secret Garden, a movie we both enjoy.
Your pictures are beautiful, especially the reflection on peaceful waters and the sublte colors in the sunset as another day readies for rest. Oh how I love God’s design of nature, of time, of life.

Ann, you should have your own blog! Your writing is lovely! But I’ve known that a long time. It’s just that I don’t often read your words about nature…very poetic, and much more descriptive than I could ever be! But I think you bring that writing style to any subject.
You’re so right about The Secret Garden. I’m still drawn to that movie and the book. It’s one of the treasures that always has a place on my bookshelf, and now and then I pull out the movie to lose myself again in that world.
I have a very small secret garden right in front of the house here. It’s a small space that has a hedge enclosure, and my rhubarb and a few roses and lilacs grow there. I literally have to wedge myself in through the hedge to do any trimming or weeding. No door into this little space! But it does make me think of Mary’s Secret Garden. I can see over into it from the floor above it, but at street level it’s very secret indeed 🙂 ~ Sheila

Well, you don’t have to live here to experience it. In fact, it’s probably better if you don’t live here! If you come up on a cruise or fly up in the summer, you can enjoy the beauty without dealing with the isolation. Cruise ships pass through Ketchikan all summer. If you and Bonnie decide to check it out, let me know!
